Visa request for the United States
Generally, a citizen of a foreign country who wishes to enter the United States must first obtain a visa, either a nonimmigrant visa for a temporary stay or an immigrant visa to reside permanently. Citizens of qualified countries can also visit the United States without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program. If you do not qualify for the Visa Waiver Program or are traveling to study, work or participate in an exchange program, you must apply for a nonimmigrant visa
How to get a US visa?
Visa applicants must attend an interview at the United States Embassy in person, this as part of the US visa application process. You must schedule an US visa appointmentfor that interview, either online or through the US Visa Information System.
Remember that your profile data must be accurate and truthful, that is, it must contain the correct information, just as they are in the passport of the person applying for the visa, regardless of whether it is a minor or not. Once the data has been entered in the profile and associated with a payment receipt, it is not possible to make changes to the profiles. If the data does not match in your profile with the passport data, you will have to make a new payment. Remember, the visa fee (MRV) is not refundable or transferable.
Solvency Documents
When scheduling an appointment for a nonimmigrant visa, you should have the following information and documents on hand:
- A valid passport to travel to the United States with a validity of at least six months longer than the time it will remain in the United States (unless specific agreements with each country set exceptions). If more than one person is included in your passport, each person who wishes a visa must submit an application.
- The receipt of payment of the fee (MRV) of your visa application
- The confirmation page of your Form DS-160
- Your e-mail adress
- If applicable, necessary documents according to the type of visa (such as approval of a petition for visa-based petitions; you can find more information on visa types and on each type of visa here).
- Restrictions for Appointment Changes
- Applicants are limited in the number of times they can reschedule their appointments. Please plan in such a way that you do not have to pay another visa application fee
